The session will explore the importance of defining roles within your organisation and the benefits that employees gain from having clear purpose and how the business benefits from its people being aligned. You will see example role descriptor templates and gain insight in how to bring everything in line with the company objectives.
During the session we will:
- Explore how to draw out from the company objectives (headline KPIs) the process and operational activities that need to devolve into job roles
- Look at what job roles & responsibilities look like
- Consider the impact on line and performance management defining job roles has
- Consider the positive benefits in relation to identifying training and development opportunities
Explore how to gain input and buy in from employees and how to communicate the benefits

Bio of Deliverer
I am a highly collaborative professional from the construction and service industry with extensive experience at commercial and organisational level. With a grounding in quantity surveying I have advanced my skills through commercial management, directorship and consultancy. I am expert at helping companies save costs and passionate about staff engagement.
Current: construction & commercial consultant, owner of several small business.
2006-15: director c£25m construction fit-out company, head of commercial/finance functions, business systems, IT & HR
