The purpose of this workshop is to demonstrate strategy on how to set up your people for success. The takeaways will be some interesting theories around motivation and management techniques. Examples of what good looks like in performance management, dealing with tricky situations and hints and tips around how to bring this to life within your business.

Meet Your Trainers
Angelina Harrop
Angie boasts over 20 years of experience in the training industry, with a strong focus on the 'Skills space.' She began her career as a trainer-assessor and has since progressed to managing her own centre for apprenticeships and other programs. Management is Angie's strength, and she has been successfully leading teams for more than a decade. Early in her career, it became evident that she excelled in this area, as she was frequently asked to support, mentor, and develop her colleagues.
Five years ago, Angie joined The Growth Company, where she adeptly managed a diverse team through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, achieving high performance rates despite the difficult circumstances. Her ability to navigate such a complex period highlights her exceptional leadership and resilience. In addition to her extensive industry experience, Angie is also a small business owner. She brings a wealth of skills to the Growth Hub, including performance management, quality assurance, emotional intelligence, and people management.
Jason Checkley
With 17 years of experience in teaching and assessing across both the public and private sectors, Jason has a proven record of coaching a diverse range of individuals, from corporate professionals to those from disadvantaged and neurodiverse backgrounds.
He began his career as a qualified chef, working in professional kitchens before transitioning to a successful five-year stint in sales. This diverse background laid a solid foundation for his subsequent career change to teaching and assessing.
In 2016, Jason earned a BA Hons in Education and Professional Development, along with a Cert Ed teaching qualification. Since then, he has been delivering high-quality education and training. Over the past five years he has been a key contributor at The Growth Company, working on various projects including Skills Support for the Workforce and Apprenticeships.
Enthusiastic about the transformative power of education, Jason believes in its ability to unlock and enhance the potential of both individuals and organisations, helping them achieve their goals.
