In 2024 we brought together women and allies from all over Greater Manchester to celebrate International Women’s Day. And what an incredible event we had. So incredible in fact... we’re doing it again for 2025!

Alongside our partners at Tameside Council, Build a Business and Bromley’s Solicitors, we are excited to build on last year’s success as we return to celebrate and champion International Women’s Day 2025.

Hosted by Nick Shepherd, the event will feature a panel of inspirational speakers who will be tackling 2025’s theme, of ‘Accelerate Action’ head on..

You’ll hear from groundbreaking female leaders who make up the fabric of Greater Manchester. We’ll be focusing on the themes of culture and business, with two inspirational panel sessions where we’ll be celebrating the importance of personal experiences to shape ongoing change. Our hope is that the panels will encourage you to accelerate action and drive impact in your own lives and workplaces.

This year, we’ll be in Tameside at The Village Hotel. Tameside was a borough at the heart of the Industrial Revolution; a centre for business and innovation, from cotton and engineering to coal mining and hatting. Tameside is proud to contribute to a diverse range of communities and cultures who are very much part of Greater Manchester’s thriving population – counting current Deputy Prime Minister, Angela Rayner MP, as a leading resident.

We understand that to make real change, everyone needs to be part of the conversation, so we are looking forward to bringing together people from throughout our city-region to this meaningful location to engage in this thought provoking and empowering event.

International Women’s Day (IWD) is a worldwide event that recognizes the accomplishments of women in social, economic, cultural, and political spheres. It is one of the most important days of the year to celebrate women’s achievements, raise awareness about gender equality and advocate for positive change, and support groups that focus on empowering women.

The purpose of International Women’s Day is to encourage worldwide engagement and collective action in advancing women's equality.
