This session will include an introduction to the importance of workplace wellbeing and move into managing stress in the workplace.
This session will provide attendees with an overview of the importance of workforce wellbeing and the benefits to the organisation. The second part of the session will focus on managing stress. Following a recent GM BGH poll 46% of participants chose that workplace stress was something they wanted support with during 2024.
Attendees can expect an interactive session with several breakout activities with peer-to-peer discussions.
Real-life examples will be discussed on the day – organisation confidentially can be accommodated if preferred.
Attendees can expect to come away from the session with a better understanding of why wellbeing can improve their workforce productivity, engagement, and overall happiness!

Meet Your Trainer
Emma Connolly’s role is to engage, support and guide businesses in improving the wellbeing of their workforce and leaders, ensuring they have the tools required to implement or enhance their existing wellbeing strategy.
Prior to joining the GM Business Growth Hub, she spent two years as Culture and Wellbeing Lead for a large Greater Manchester-based organisation, developing strategies that addressed the varied needs of a workforce that was spread across multiple business units.
Originally from Australia, Emma moved to Manchester in 2014, and honed her organisational and stakeholder management skills while working as a PA for senior management in various private sector business.
The session is targeted at business leaders who can implement a wellbeing strategy and make decisions in terms of managing their workforce.
