Inspired by Manchester legends Happy Mondays, her creation radiates the same electric energy we see every day in the businesses we support across Greater Manchester. It’s a tribute to the city’s spirit—creative, dynamic, and unmistakably Mancunian.

About the Artist: Jenny Marshall

Jenny is a fine artist who loves working outside, surrounded by fresh air and natural light. She cares deeply about the environment and uses only restored wood, recycled materials, and found objects—each one marked with its own story. 

Music for the senses is her way of giving back to the Manchester and Salford area, which has shaped her creative journey. She has warm memories of the local music scene in the 80s and 90s and now watches proudly as two of her children follow artistic paths of their own in the region.

Jenny Marshall’s artwork is all about renewal, making it a perfect match for GM Business Growth Hub’s commitment to sustainability. That’s why we’re offering a special Music for the Senses app reward with real impact for those who spot our ‘Buzzin’ guitar on the trail.

Your visit helps plant trees in Greater Manchester

When you collect our ‘Buzzin’ guitar in the trail app, you’re doing more than enjoying a piece of public art, you are helping to grow a greener Greater Manchester.

 

Here’s how it works: 

Every 20 collections of ‘Buzzin’ in the app = 1 tree planted locally. 

Our goal: We are aiming to plant 50 trees across the region, and every scan takes us one step closer!*

You can even track our progress; just head to the ‘artwork’ screen in the trail app.

So, whether you’re exploring with friends, colleagues or making a solo stop, know that your visit plays a part in a healthier, more sustainable future.

Terms and Conditions 

1. Organiser 

The “Buzzin’ for a Greener Greater Manchester” campaign is organised by Wild in Art Limited and sponsored by GM Business Growth Hub is a trading name of  GM Business Support Limited CRN: 08132524 (GMBS), located at 90 Great Bridgewater Street, Manchester, M1 5JW, referred to as “the Organiser,” “we,” or “us.” 

2. Campaign Overview 

Participants are invited to visit and interact with designated Buzzin’ artworks across Greater Manchester. Each interaction (“collection”) contributes to a collective goal: for every 20 collections, one tree will be planted in the Greater Manchester, up to a maximum of 50 trees or a total contribution value of £500 from GM Business Growth Hub. 

3. How to Join the Campaign 

To join the campaign: 

  • Visit a designated Buzzin’ artwork location.
  • Scan or interact with the artwork using the provided digital method (e.g., QR code, app, or web link).
  • Submit your entry details as prompted. 

4. Eligibility 

  • The competition is open to all individuals, regardless of residency or nationality. There is no age restriction for participation. Friends and family members of employees or affiliates of GM Business Growth Hub and the wider Growth Company are also welcome to take part.
  • No purchase necessary. 

6. Tree Planting Contribution 

  • For every 20 valid collections, one tree will be planted in Greater Manchester.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to substitute tree planting with an equivalent environmental contribution if necessary.

8. General Conditions 

  • The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or amend the campaign where necessary.
  • The Organiser accepts no responsibility for entries not received due to technical issues.
  • The decision of the Organiser regarding any aspect of the campaign is final and binding. 

9. Governing Law 

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
