Applications for Greater Manchester businesses to join a new and free scale-up programme have now opened.

‘Spark to Scale’ has been launched by GM Business Growth Hub, specifically for founders and business owners ready to unlock the next level of growth.

Starting next month, specialists will guide ambitious businesses through an accelerated, six-week programme designed to propel them forward.

Founders will learn from industry experts on how to scale their team, enter new markets, raise investment, and sharpen their strategy.

A total of five cohorts will take place, and businesses in Salford and Manchester will be the first to benefit.

They can apply for the first cohort via the link below. Applications close on August 27 and the programme starts on September 25.

Firms in other boroughs can also register their interest now to join in the programme on future dates.

Businesses must have a trading address in Greater Manchester, employ a minimum of two people and generate a revenue of £150K plus per year to be considered for the fully funded programme.

We’re seeing more businesses with a real determination to grow much faster. The ambition in Greater Manchester is incredible, and it is so important to capitalise on that potential.

Spark to Scale builds on the success of GM Business Growth Hub’s ASCEND programme, which works with later stage businesses across Greater Manchester.

Lewis Keeling, founder of Wolf Network Security took part in the first cohort of ASCEND. He said: “The programme was an incredible journey for our cybersecurity startup. The camaraderie within the cohort was remarkable. Collaboration is key, and we’ve built lasting connections and friendships, exchanging advice and supporting each other through the programme.”
