The latest round of CRACK IT challenges from NC3Rs open in September and in October there is the opportunity to apply for the next round of Innovate UK Smart Grants, as well as a focus on international collaboration for manufacturing of therapeutics and disaster resilience.

November has a focus on understanding how technologies intended for use in Space can support wider innovation and societal challenges.

  • NC3Rs CRACK IT challenge: Rodent Shelter
    The aim of this Challenge is to develop a shelter for rodents to provide warmth and a means to monitor the animals to improve post-operative care.

  • NC3Rs CRACK IT challenge: Wings of Change 
    The aim of this Challenge is to develop new approach methodologies (NAMs) to assess acute and chronic avian toxicity for chemical screening and environmental risk assessment.

  • Cross-Cluster Proof of Concept Call
    STFC are offering businesses the opportunity to apply for up to £45k of grant funding for collaborative proof of concept project in Space, Energy, Health and Life Sciences, Quantum, Digital, and Defence and Security.

  • Green Future Fellowships
    Green Future Fellows will receive up to £3 million and support over ten years to develop their ground-breaking initiatives. The programme is open to anyone with a transformative idea that has the potential to make a significant and lasting impact on global climate resilience.
